Here’s a small taste of my studio at Eclipse Post.

More for the Audio Nerds

I didn’t work on this but it sure is funny.

Whoosh! – watch more funny videos

Adult Swim: ATHF

A promo I worked on for a new Aqua Teen episode.

Adult Swim: Jim and Derrick

I got to work on this one recently. Kind of captures old MTV perfectly.

More Adult Swim Promos

Some more promos that I worked on.

It’s finally happened!!!

I finally got around to making my demo section look like the rest of the site. Now it’s conformed to a more blog-like format making it searchable and linkable. Enjoy!!!

AdultSwim: ATHF, Britain & Titans

A nice collection of fun promos produced by Pete Smith and Matt Hutchinson, with audio done by me at Eclipse Post.

For the Pro Tools Geeks

Got a little sidetracked today and made this.

With Equal Power, Comes Equal Responsibility

So, that happened

I made my move to Eclipse Post, and a month later we moved into a new facility. It has truly been a whirlwind lately. In the middle of all that I’ve been working with Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crazy Legs Productions, and 3645 Films. Never a dull moment in the world of Juan.

The new audio studio I’m in is just about complete; it’s in a fully working order now but I just have some finishing touches to do before I invite everyone to come see it. Now that I’m finding my footing I’ll post a little more often as well.

In the thick of it

I’ve been over at Eclipse for a little while now, and I have to say things are great. Being a part of building a new facility is a great experience. In the middle of all that, I’ve managed to update my Projects page with the new format that I’ll eventually do to the Demo page as well. Not a huge change but it should make navigating it a little easier and provide tags for related entries. Good times.

Times they are a’ changin’

I am now a member of Eclipse Post. I will be heading up their new audio department in a brand new building on the west side of Atlanta. More details coming soon.

What recession?

I’ve been booked solid lately with TNT Latin America, CNN, Headline News Downy, Artistic Image, StrangerThings.tv, Creative Circus, and I even got to record Will Sasso for a new cartoon. Things are gooooood.

I’m also finally getting around to a JuanBaez.com reface. It’s been the same design for 3 years now, time for something new.

So busy!!!

I’ve been hard at work lately with TNT Latin America, HGTV, Edelman Productions, Creative Circus and most recently Red Bull. I got to do some production audio at the first Red Bull Em See event. Quite a big production in about 24 hours notice. Good times.

In other news, my band Undead Viking Mafia opened for three national acts at The Masquerade. It was a great show and the headlining act said we sounded “manly.” We’ll take it.

Back in the Box

I’ve returned from Gencon and since then I’ve worked with TNT Latin America, Cartoon Network Latin America, Stranger Things and Artistic Image. It’s been a busy return to the ATL but that’s a good thing.

It’s been a while

My time in Birmingham at CityStages.org was a busy one. Since then I’ve been back in the ATL working with TNT Latin America, Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network Latin America, Artistic Image, Trokar, The Atlanta Falcons, and New Beginnings Church in North Carolina. Even managed to squeeze an Undead Viking Mafia concert in there where we played a 12 song set. July was one busy month.

What’s in store for August? I’ve already worked with TNT Latin America and Cartoon Network Latin America this week. Next week it’ll be a little more TNTLA then I’ll be on my way to Indianapolis for GENCON. Fun times will be had.

CityStages.org

I’ll be in Birmingham, AL this weekend to help with CityStages.org

StrangerThings.tv Eps05 Now Online

Here’s the next episode of StrangerThings.tv I was able to do most of the production sound on this one, as well as ALL of the post audio. In addition to all that, I did the location scouting, some of the stunt coordination, and actually played a part. Enjoy.

Ep05: Disconnect from Stranger Things on Vimeo.

In The Studio 05/26-05/29

This week I’m all sorts of busy, which is ALWAYS a good thing. I’m working with Cartoon Network US, Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network Latin America.

In the evenings my band, Undead Viking Mafia, is preparing for our album preview concert. Never a dull moment.

Stranger Things Episode 5

I finished audio post on StrangerThings.tv Episode 5 at about 6:30 am on Saturday morning. Sunday it was shown at Balticon to an audience of 150-200 people.

I’m going to have to take a moment to share the fact that I love DropBox. It really helped streamline the work flow between everyone involved in Stranger Things. I’ll link to Episode 5 as soon as it goes online.

In The Studio 05/11-05/15

This week is jam packed with Cartoon Network US, Cartoon Network Latin America, and StrangerThings.tv

This afternoon I’ll be having lunch with the Producer of Yung Yeti, Calvin Florian. Yung Yeti was recently featured on the front page of SundanceChannel.com. It’s no longer on the front page but a screen capture is below, and you can still find all of the episodes there.

That’s a wrap!!!

A little over a week ago I helped with the production audio for the latest episode from StrangerThings.tv. It was possibly the busiest weekend of my life, and it didn’t end till that Tuesday. Was it worth it? Most definitely. In the coming weeks I’ll begin post audio on this episode with the goal of having the final product done before Balticon, yes, Balticon. A very ambitious timeframe, but I know we’ll knock it out.

Last week I also got to work with Matt Day from Cartoon Network. It looks like we’ll be doing a lot of work together and I’m looking forward to all of it. This week I’ll be working with CNN and TNT Latin America. In addition to all that, I just worked on a new project to air on the Jumbotron at The Georgia Dome. All in all, a busy couple of months.

Yung Yeti on Sundance Channel.com

Last week I got to rock out with TNT Latin America, providing audio for one of their movie blocks as well as their broadcast of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Special, tough work. This week I’ll be finishing up some more Soapbox internal projects as well as some of my own music projects. Not to mention ending the week by working with Cartoon Network Latin America.

The biggest news though is that Yung Yeti, a greenimation project for Sundance Channel has finally gone live on their site. I did all of the audio for Yung Yeti’s 5 current episodes and even created a lot of the music used in the cartoon. Check it out below and at their site.

Soapbox Site Update and More

Soapbox Studios recently updated their website so you should probably check that out, mainly because I’m on it. Ha! Lately I’ve been working on a few different Soapbox Internal projects as well as a few things for Boomerang Latin America, Fifth Third Bank, Reuters and TNT Latin America.
